Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were injured while residents in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and encountered interruptions to water supplies, per reports from city officials.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southern area, according to area administrators.

Moscow has increased assaults on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while officials has demanded "substantial measures" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in supplying protection systems and implementing restrictions," he wrote in a online statement.

He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were working to restore power.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the urban area came under intense attacks throughout the evening. A young boy died and multiple civilians were hurt.

The strikes come after nights of aerial attacks in the region, sections of which remain under the control of invading troops.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to identify.

Government officials told the media that Russia was intentionally trying to destroy the national power system, with strikes already impacting energy systems.

Officials stated energy workers and officials were bracing for additional strikes.
