Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring angels, fiends, and dark forces expanding in influence within the urban setting.
Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of this adventure are included.
The Warrior Group Unveiled
Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the first table of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.
This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
With an extensive roster, it was clear from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.
What Defines the Combat Party
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might seem out of place, but the events of episode 3 show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the team understands precisely where to go next after a intense initial meeting with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the narrative’s action—exploited the foes for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, striking Thimble, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.
Casimir then cleared his debts and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Cyd pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each adventurer has a individual motive to exit the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, seeks retribution.
- The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a hostile environment.
- The strong character and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their position as important members in the influential clan could enable the party reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a life debt to The savior for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control the city for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city too risky:
- Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the army of fiends they are allied with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This leaves them little choice but to head to the remote area in quest for the traitor.
Upcoming Developments
Based on the recent installment’s follow-up content, we discover that the combat party will be absent next week, leaving the other eight players to form the Seekers and Schemers tables.
Fans can expect finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the story’s final introductory chapter, released on October 24.
